Status update:
You find yourself in the upstairs back room of a mid terraced house.
Outside there is a wide back alley, and beyond a small drive with a sizeable breeze block garage. In the distance further up the hill is a small field with three sheep, and what appears to be flood lights for a sports ground.
The room appears to be gently sloping 1° downhill to the east, sun floods through the windows.
The bedroom door leads to a short hallway with a bathroom to the left, and the master bedroom. A steep set of stairs descends to the ground floor.

Simpler times, 48K a cassette deck, rubber keys and sitting way too close to a TV
Things have been better, but they could also be much worse.
The Move
Josephine and myself headed down on a Friday from Hull to pick the keys up from Bolsover. Charlotte came down later in her car with some bedding and a few necessities.
We had got tickets to see the Cure in Manchester for that night ages ago, so my first house owning action was to leave and go to that 😊 . We drove back really late due to being stuck in the car park really late. Fab gig though.
I rented a van for the weekend, and Charlotte was fab helping me move the vast majority of my stuff - mainly garage things, I had a lot of tools and spares, workbenches, tool chests etc. She had to go back to Hull after the weekend though.
Took a week of work to try and unpack and get organized. But did go to Peterborough beer festival for a day and a bit later in the week.
Since
I won't go into too much detail, but Charlotte hasn't been well, and had been visiting her in hospital most weekends since the move. It hasn't been the easiest for us both, as it was quite far away.
She was discharged a few weeks ago, and is recuperating with me at the moment. Baby steps towards recovery. Seems to be on the right track finally. The local NHS team has been very helpful thankfully.
I've not been able to see my family or kids as much due to this, but hoping to do some visits this weekend.
I got some sofa's, a TV, got the spare bedroom setup as my office. The local re-use shop at the recycling centre has been great for odds and ends, mirrors, side tables etc.
We've been working in the garden to put a trench behind the garage to help solve a damp issue, been keeping her busy and earning her keep.
We also made a log store the other day, preparing for the winter - apparently it gets rather cold here. I was left with a big pile of logs, but will be buying more.
Bedfordshire Steam fair
I did manage to get to Bedfordshire steam fair, although without Charlotte. I still had a good time. I was with the women's drivers club, so not totally alone.
Unfortunately shortly after I arrived, one of the women was getting off her tractor with it still running, and it jumped into gear, ran her over (spitting her out the back wheel) and collided with her camper van.
Four wheeled ambulances, an air ambulance and local first aider's, bit of a party. Fortunately she only received 2 broken ribs and a dislocated hip. We nicknamed her tractor Christine.
Oh and I managed to slice a bit cut in my finger before setting off too, so I arrived with massive full hand bandage too - they had to glue it shut. A&E was pretty good though, totally meant to give a 5* review on tripadvisor.
Work
Just just lost my 9 day fortnights, with a token pay rise to compensate me - but if I had a choice I would have kept the hours, that extra day really did help motivate me.
At least I have a job I suppose, 1st world problems !
