Ketchup post

Mainly details of adventures in Leeds at the end of last month which I neglected to do earlier !

Leeds First Last Friday

The date had to be changed for the big Leeds social as it overlapped with Sparkle in Manchester.

I had decided to go for two days this month, to join my friend Alice, and also Rebecka who I didn't really know, but was friends with Alice and Gemma.

The Friday:

Got into Leeds before lunch, and bought some more foundation from boots straight away as it ran out

while getting ready that morning. I had to use some cheap Amazon stuff I had kicking around. I then met Alice and we shared a Pizza at Rudys.

We did some shopping, had some beverages at Flamingo's.  Then we headed to a 'Northern Guitar' which is a guitar shop on the 1st floor, and a pub on the ground floor - sells real ales, really nice atmosphere in there. They had a fab beer in Motorhead branded glassed 'Roadcrew' which was very good indeed.

Rebecka met us later for food at a curry house we have used before "Tharavadu". I had a green chicken curry which was very nice indeed, and I ate too quick.

Was feeling very fat for the rest of the evening, we went to the 'Newbie' event at the bridge, just to show our faces.  We met Mandy in there, and she joined us when we went onward to the main meeting point at the Viaduct. Danielle found us in there, and we became 5 for a few hours.

I felt a bit sick with too much curry when we did Tapped, but I managed a half in the Brewers Cat. Then we headed back over to Northern Guitar and had a few more in there.  Mandy got her bus home at 11ish, and Danielle was driving so she didn't last too much longer.  The last of us were kicked out sometime after midnight when they closed the bar.

As we were out the next day, we walked back to the hotel - the three of us were all at the Premier Inn.

Saturday:

My digestive woes continued, and although I managed breakfast, I was a bit delicate for a
lot of the day. Did have a toastie at lunch. We pottered about a bit, there was a gothic event at the markets, I bought a spiked collar which will compliment my rock chic look.

We had a few beers before our evening meal, which seemed to help get things working again. We were eating at a posh steak place 'Gouchos' as Alice does like to treat herself.

Unfortunately she herself feeling a bit ill when we arrived, and it put her off her food somewhat, and put a bit of a downer on the evening.

I attempted to cheer her up with another real ale pub I had located - we had bad news that our usual afternoon haunt 'Foley's had been shut by the brewery, so we were actively seeking replacements.

We also tried "The Brewery Tap" which was opposite the curry house we ate at on Friday, which was not bad.  Not sure if a cis lady was having a go at my being in the ladies loo's in there, and there was a bloke giving me funny looks though.

We met Stephanie in there, she was going down to London for bottom surgery in a weeks time, so had been excitedly counting down the hours on Facebook - and she somewhat dominated the conversation for a while. She is really nice though. We did a lot of people watching in there, it's on the main route for people to get back to the train station, and there were quite a few hen parties wobbling their way back.

We headed back to the hotel sometime after 11pm I think.

Sunday

I needed to get back home as my wife was going to church, I had breakfast with Alice and Rebecka then went straight home - then went to the Asda dressed for the first time , as per previous post.

It was a nice weekend somewhat marred by respective health issues, but still really good.
